Simplyhealth launches new corporate cash plan module

6th March 2012

Simplyhealth has announced the launch of a new module for its corporate cash plan, providing private medical insurance (PMI) excess for various dental and healthcare needs.

The Simply Cash Plan will soon allow businesses to choose up to five different modules including the new option, which will allow PMI excess claims to be included as a paid-for option.

According to the insurer, the majority of alternative cash plans are not designed to meet such costs, being based on community pricing models which are susceptible to rising premiums when claims of this kind are made.

The new module has been introduced in response to market demand and will be available from April 1st 2012 onwards.

Howard Hughes, head of employer marketing at Simplyhealth, said: "This module will provide greater choice and flexibility for employers, while providing clarity on how Simplyhealth pays private medical insurance excess claims."

The company recently announced plans to expand its business through the acquisition of Denplan, a leading UK dental insurance provider, for 11.5 million pounds.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801310871-ADNFCR
