GlaxoSmithKline provides support for Coronation Festival
GlaxoSmithKline has announced that it will be one of the three headline partners for the Coronation Festival taking place at Buckingham Palace from July 11th to 14th 2013.
The event is designed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's coronation and celebrates six decades of innovation and excellence in British industry.
It will showcase a range of more than 200 companies with a Royal Warrant, including GlaxoSmithKline's Lucozade and Macleans brands.
Meanwhile, the pharmaceutical company will also be exclusively supporting a celebratory concert that will take place on July 12th.
Sir Andrew Witty, chief executive officer of GlaxoSmithKline, said: "As the UK's largest pharmaceutical company and biggest private investor in research and development, GlaxoSmithKline is delighted to be part of this iconic celebration of 60 years of excellence from British companies."
This comes after the firm acted as a high-profile partner at the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as offering expertise and facilities to aid in crucial drug tests during the event.
