Roche named company of the year at 2012 PMEA Awards

3rd December 2012

Roche has been voted company of the year at the 2012 Pharmaceutical Market Excellence Awards (PMEA), which took place in London last week.

The firm claimed the prestigious Accenture Award for business of the year for 2012, in recognition of its integrated and supportive approach to leadership, as well as its broad perspective on issues affecting the entire industry.

In claiming the accolade, Roche edged out fellow finalists Abbott and Merck Sharp and Dohme, earning praise for the "passion and belief" demonstrated by its management.

Additionally, the firm claimed the InVentiv Health Communications Europe Award for team of the year, recognising the strong performance of its communications and healthcare strategy team.

The event's judging panel said: "As judges we all came away with the thought that we would happily work for this organisation."

During the third quarter of 2012, Roche saw its sales experience a four percent year-on-year increase, while it was also ranked as the most sustainable healthcare company globally in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for a fourth straight year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801499240-ADNFCR
