Drinkaware seeks new advertising partner

4th December 2012

Alcohol education charity Drinkaware has commenced a review to help identify a new agency partner for its advertising business.

The organisation has decided to end its existing advertising agreement with OgilvyOne after the PR firm agreed a major appointment with the Department of Health in October 2012, reports Campaign.

OgilvyOne has worked on the business since February 2011 and recently helped to create an interactive digital campaign involving a teenager asking questions about alcohol.

The agency will cease its work with Drinkaware in June 2013, but Neo@Ogilvy will continue to handle its media planning and buying, while a potential deal with Ogilvy and Mather's behavioural economics unit is also on the cards.

Siobhan McCann, head of campaigns and communications at Drinkaware, said: "We are hoping to find an agency that can fit our new support needs and help us deliver our very rewarding but challenging brief."

Drinkaware is an independent UK-wide charity that is supported by voluntary donations from across the drinks industry, receiving around 5.2 million pounds in contributions each year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801500248-ADNFCR
