Sartorius launches new Vivaspin Turbo 15 ultrafiltration device
Sartorius has announced the introduction of a new-generation disposable ultrafiltration device for use in protein, virus or nanoparticle concentration, as well as desalting, dialysis and buffer exchange.
The Vivaspin Turbo 15 device boasts a number of key benefits compared to alternative products, including its fast concentration performance, high chemical resistance, and complete and high recoveries.
Laboratories can concentrate biological samples within ten to 30 minutes and obtain macromolecular recoveries of more than 95 percent, while the product also offers a stable shelf-life, even in humid environments.
Combining polyethersulfone, polystyrene and polypropylene, the devices can be sterilised and depyrogenated with ease.
The manufacturer said: "It is available in a range of volumes from four to 15 ml and permits easy and complete recovery of the concentrate, yet is the fastest ultrafiltration device on the market."
In October 2012, Sartorius published its financial report for the first nine months of 2012, during which it experienced year-on-year growth of 18.1 percent.
