Thermo Fisher Scientific chromatograph wins tech award
Thermo Fisher Scientific's TRACE 1300 Series Gas Chromatography system was recognised with an honour at HET Instrument 2012.
The gas chromatograph received this year's Novelties in Technology award at the annual exhibition for analytical instruments.
Massimo Santoro, gas chromatography marketing manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said the TRACE 1300 series is "changing the way people perceive and use a gas chromatograph".
He explained that the groundbreaking instant connect modularity enables users to quickly modify instrument configuration, potentially cutting maintenance time down to zero.
"We are really pleased to have won the prestigious HET award, which exemplifies the vision and commitment of Thermo Fisher Scientific to develop innovative technologies that address the needs of its customers," Mr Santoro added.
The news comes shortly after the company revealed details of a long-term licensing agreement with Fujirebio, which will make the biomarker assay Procalcitonin available on the Japanese firm's Lumipulse laboratory instrument product line.
