Celgene appoints new UK HR director

Celgene has announced the appointment of Sarah Bater as its new human resources (HR) director for the UK and Ireland.

Ms Bater is an established veteran in the field of HR and previously spent a number of years with AstraZeneca, where she played a key role in various transformation programmes and the evolution of the company's key account management.

Most recently, she was employed by BAA, where she served as HR director for policy, process and resourcing.

At Celgene, she joins a company that has experienced rapid growth in recent years and will aim to instill a culture in which both existing and future employees can reach their full potential.

Samantha Pearce, general manager of Celgene's UK and Ireland operations, said: " Her role reinforces our commitment to our employees, current and future, to help them grow professionally, whilst ensuring the Celgene culture is maintained."
