Agilent Technologies launches chromatography data storage solution

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of OpenLAB Data Store with Lab Applications, a new data storage system for smaller chromatography laboratories.

Designed as an out-of-the-box solution for small labs facing information management challenges, the new offering provides secure central storage of the data produced by Agilent's OpenLAB chromatography data systems.

Streamlining the management of laboratory operations, assets and regulatory compliance, it is focused on essential tasks, rather than the complex combination of enterprise-level electronic laboratory notebooks, laboratory information management systems and scientific data management systems involved in solutions designed for larger labs.

Bruce von Herrmann, vice-president and general manager of Agilent's software and Informatics business, said: "Because OpenLAB Data Store with Lab Applications is designed to work without customisation, labs can expect to be up and running in only two days. That's up to ten times faster than other solutions."

This comes in the same week that Agilent's Dako subsidiary agreed a new companion diagnostics development collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Lilly.
