L’Oreal appoints new UK comms head
L'Oreal has announced the appointment of Kari Kerr as its new director of internal and external communications, leading a five-strong team.
Ms Kerr joins the global beauty sector leader from Intercontinental Hotels, where she took responsibility for financial PR and executive profiling, as well as UK public affairs and corporate citizenship, reports Gorkana.
In her new role, she will work closely with L'Oreal UK and Ireland managing director Jeremy Schwartz and UK chair Lady Sylvia Jay, promoting the company's corporate reputation, activities and values.
She will be tasked with working closely with the company's various divisions and brands to provide background support, while also corresponding with L'Oreal's Paris-based group corporate comms division.
Ms Kerr said: "The commitment to science and innovation, coupled with great company values and focus on being a good corporate citizen, really attracted me to the company."
The cosmetics firm owns 27 global brands and employs almost 70,000 members of staff across 130 countries.
