Source BioScience to host East Midlands genomics meeting

Source BioScience has announced that it will be hosting the next meeting of the East Midlands Infectious Disease Research Network Special Interest Group on February 13th 2013.

The event will take place at the company's offices in Nottingham Business Park and will focus on the topic of genomics, with presentations to be made by the University of Nottingham and University of Birmingham, as well as representatives from Source BioScience.

Attendees will be encouraged to pitch their expertise or seek help with a particular problem or collaboration during an open pitch session, while discussions of local issues, the role of metagenomics and data analysis will all be held.

Source is hosting the event in its capacity as a member of Medilink, the life science industry association for the East Midlands, using funding provided by the Healthcare and Bioscience iNet project and the European Regional Development Fund.

This comes during what has been a strong business year for the company, with its most recent interim management statement noting that it experienced "sustained growth and development" during the fiscal quarter running from July 1st to November 14th 2012.
