Ivoclar Vivadent launches OptraSculpt Pad modelling tool

15th January 2013

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the launch of OptraSculpt Pad, a modelling instrument for use in shaping composite filling materials.

Featuring foam pad attachments designed for the non-stick adaptation of these composites, the tool facilitates achieving smooth and even restoration surfaces, with reference scales on the handle assisting in the creation of desired results.

"The markings allow the clinical situation to be compared with the ideal average tooth width proportion and angular alignments in the upper anterior dentition," said the manufacturer.

Meanwhile, the foam pads prevent unwanted marks from being left behind, allowing natural-looking results to be easily accomplished in anterior and cervical restorations, while the instrument is particularly suited for the placement of class III, IV and V restorations and direct veneers.

This is the latest addition to the Liechtenstein-based company's dental product portfolio, with the expansion of the product range soon set to be augmented by the recent acquisition of Wieland Dental, a move that will strengthen its position in the all-ceramics field.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801522621-ADNFCR
