Agilent Technologies launches new web resource for pharma firms

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of Dissolution Exchange, a new online resource providing information about dissolution testing practices.

Aimed at the pharmaceutical industry, the free website allows visitors to solve laboratory testing challenges, view self-paced tutorials developed by Agilent experts and discuss topics related to the dissolution industry.

Other elements of Dissolution Exchange include recorded webinars and presentations, various white papers, posters and newsletters, and a hotline for dissolution-related questions.

Dissolution is a commonly-used technique in the pharmaceutical industry that can help determine the rate at which active ingredients are released from solid dosage forms such as tablets and capsules.

Allan Little, Agilent director of marketing for dissolution systems, said: "The Agilent Dissolution Exchange is designed to equip the global industry with tools that educate and encourage the sharing of dissolution knowledge."

Last week, the firm launched OpenLAB Data Store with Lab Applications, a new chromatography data solution for smaller laboratories.
