Superdrug appoints Billington Cartmell for new ad campaign
UK health and pharmaceutical retailer Superdrug has announced that it will be partnering with Billington Cartmell on a new advertising initiative.
The company is changing its ad strategy to run campaigns around seasonal events and will work with the PR agency to create new advertisements that will begin to appear in February 2013, reports Campaign.
Billington Cartmell will work with Superdrug on a project-by-project basis over the course of the year following a recent review that commenced in November 2012, with the pitching process involving agencies such as Uber, HMDG, Addiction, Brothers and Sisters, McCann Manchester and The Hub.
Superdrug will continue to retain ZenithOptimedia as its media planning and buying agency.
Matt Walburn, Superdrug's marketing director, said: "This year brings a new look and feel to our TV advertising. We've enjoyed great success with the Take Another Look campaign and now want to build on this with our new creative."
The company is part of the AS Watson group and is the UK's second-largest beauty and health retailer, operating more than 900 stores across Britain and Ireland.
