Ansell to showcase new products at Arab Health 2013

Ansell is showcasing new hand protection products for healthcare professionals at an industry event taking place in Dubai this week.

The company is attending Arab Health 2013, which runs from January 28th to 31st, in order to demonstrate the latest additions to its Gammex range of surgical gloves.

These include the new Gammex non-latex accelerator-free sensitive glove with Sensoprene technology, which is 30 percent thinner than standard synthetic gloves and offers greater sensitivity while maintaining strength, resistance and advanced allergy protection.

Also on display will be the Gammex powder-free glove with AMT antimicrobial technology, an innovative product that is able to protect against microbial transmission due to intraoperative glove breaches.

Peter Dobbelsteijn, senior vice-president and regional director for Ansell in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: "Once more, healthcare workers may discover the latest Ansell innovations and take part in the ongoing discussion about safety and health issues related to glove use."

This comes after the company announced the acquisition of the US-based medical technology firm Preferred Surgical Products earlier this month.
