BCF Technology launches updated Vita CR X-ray system

1st February 2013

BCF Technology has announced that it will be introducing a new and updated version of its Vita CR X-ray system that will improve its functionality for veterinary patients.

Staff from BCF have worked alongside manufacturer Carestream to help redesign the device's Image Suite software and operating system, using their combined expertise to make improvements to the system's algorithms.

It now features tools such as an animal positioning guide compatible with various species, as well as functions such as tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, vertebral heart, laminitis and tibial tuberosity advancement measurement tools.

Each of these offers a simple user interface and on-screen instructions that make the Vita easier to use than ever.

Kat Evans, a radiographer from BCF Technology, said: "It was really important to us to get this product right for the veterinary market. We invested a lot of time into ensuring the system works in a way that suits veterinary patients."

This comes after the firm launched a new version of its BUG viewing goggles device last August  for use in ultrasound scanning applications.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801533482-ADNFCR
