Ivoclar Vivadent reports sales growth in 2012
Ivoclar Vivadent has expressed satisfaction with its business performance during 2012, after reporting a four percent year-on-year increase in global sales revenues.
The dental products supplier's sales total for the 12 months came to 658 million Swiss francs (463.29 million pounds), with its growth in North America, the Middle East and Asia helping to cancel out shortfalls in Europe and Latin America.
During the year, the company was able to create 163 new jobs worldwide and agree a deal to purchase Wieland Dental, while expanding its commercial presence in several key product categories.
It was also announced this week that Ivoclar Vivadent products will be divided into three main groups – direct restoratives, fixed prosthetics and removable prosthetics – in order to make it easier for dental professionals to find what they need.
Robert Ganley, chief executive officer of Ivoclar Vivadent, said: "For 2013, we will further strengthen our position in all-ceramics, luting and filling materials through new product innovations. Wieland Dental will be integrated with a focus on growth."
