Steris launches new OT 1000 Orthopaedic Surgical Table

Steris has announced the launch of the Steris OT 1000 Orthopaedic Surgical Table, a groundbreaking new innovation for perioperative departments.

The product features Swan Technology, a unique buoyant articulation capability that allows virtually effortless patient movement for anterior approach total hip arthroplasty procedures.

It also offers strong imaging capabilities and several features to improve efficiency, including ergonomic table controls and a powerful drive function on the 1100 and 1200 models.

Other advantages include the table's safety features, including a quick release mechanism on the boot, headrest and lateral slide and integrated safety lock.

Chris Labedz, product manager at Steris Surgical Solutions, said: "The clinical needs of orthopaedic surgeons, patients and staff – and the efficiency and productivity demands placed on surgical departments – were the focus for a unique platform that can make a significant difference in daily orthopaedic workflow."

Earlier this month, the company launched the Pathogon UV Disinfection System, for use in minimising contamination risks present in healthcare facilities.
