Nikon recruits Ian Poulter as Laser Rangefinder ambassador
Nikon has recruited one of the world's leading golfers to act as an ambassador for its range of Laser Rangefinders.
Ian Poulter – who is currently in 12th place in the world rankings – and his caddie Terry Mundy will use both Coolshot and Coolshot AS Laser Rangefinders during their weekly tournament preparations until 2015.
The 37-year-old Briton is a Ryder Cup legend having won the prestigious Europe versus US tournament on four occasions since his debut in 2004.
Speaking about his deal with Nikon – the Japanese technology firm that was established in 1917 – Poulter said it forms part of his commitment to ensuring that everything he does in terms of his preparation is of the highest possible standard.
"Nikon's Laser Rangefinders are the best around and you won't get a more accurate reading with any other laser," the star noted.
Meanwhile, commercial manager of Nikon's UK Sport Optics division Tim Hunnable said he is "delighted" to welcome Poulter to the team.
"The passion he displays on the golf course and his ability perfectly complements the passion we put into our products," he added.
