Kimberly-Clark ranked among world’s best corporate citizens
Kimberly-Clark has been recognised as one of the top 100 best corporate citizens in the world by Corporate Responsibility Magazine.
The firm came in 18th place in the overall list, marking the fifth consecutive year Kimberly-Clark has placed in the top 20.
It scored particularly highly in terms of its corporate governance, environmental policies and human rights, while it was also shown to be a market leader in the consumer packaged goods industry.
The ranking was compiled based on 298 factors for each company on the Russell 1000 index, with other key criteria including policies on climate change, employee relations, finance and philanthropy.
Gail Ciccione, vice-president of sustainability and continuous improvement for Kimberly-Clark, said: "Consistently winning recognitions like this is only possible when many thousands of Kimberly-Clark employees worldwide do their work while maintaining an underlying focus on sustainability and citizenship."
This comes after the firm earned a place in the Ethisphere Institute's ranking of the world's most ethical companies last month.
