Bausch and Lomb appoints investor relations head

10th May 2013

Bausch and Lomb has announced the appointment of Alex Kelly as vice-president for investor relations, a role that will see him become the firm's primary point of contact for the investment community.

He joins the company after most recently serving in the corresponding position at Merck Sharp and Dohme, while his previous employers include Schering-Plough, Novartis and Pharmacia and Upjohn.

Mr Kelly was originally a pharmacist and started his career in pharmaceutical sales at Upjohn, where he was employed in the role of district sales manager.

The company's president and chief financial officer Bob Bertolini said: "I have had the pleasure of working closely with Alex over many years. He's a world-class executive and we are very fortunate to have him join the Bausch and Lomb team."

Vice-president of global communications Adam Grossberg will transition his investor relations responsibilities to Mr Kelly, while taking charge of the company's global branding, advertising and digital initiatives.

This comes after Bausch and Lomb recruited Dr Donald Gagliano as vice-president of global development operations last month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801584033-ADNFCR
