Ranbaxy updates business and quality assurance standards
Ranbaxy has highlighted the efforts it has been making to improve its business and quality assurance standards in order to improve global confidence in the company.
Over the last few years, the firm has enhanced its compliance procedures and policies and updated its business and manufacturing processes, while working to instil a culture of accountability and excellence across all levels of the organisation.
Since the acquisition of a majority stake in Ranbaxy by Daiichi Sankyo in 2008, the company has completely reconstituted its board of directors and executive management team, with a comprehensive new code of conduct introduced for all employees.
It has also invested considerable amounts in creating state-of-the-art production facilities equipped with the latest IT innovations and has undergone more than 175 regulatory agency inspections across its global network since 2009.
Arun Sawhney, the organisation's chief executive officer and managing director, said: "Ranbaxy moves forward with integrity and professionalism in everything we do. We are fully committed to upholding the high standards that patients, prescribers and all other stakeholders expect."
The company is one of India's largest pharmaceutical businesses, serving customers in more than 150 countries.
