Agilent agrees new biologic and vaccine analysis collaboration

24th May 2013

Agilent Technologies has agreed a strategic partnership with two prominent research organisations to develop new biopharmaceutical and glycomic analysis technologies.

The memorandum of understanding signed with the University of Rouen and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore will see the organisations collaboratively developing tools to effectively analyse biologics and vaccines.

New, sensitive and high-throughput methodologies that are particularly adapted to the assessment of biopharmaceuticals will be created through this partnership, making it easier to ensure that such therapies are safe and effective.

Dr Rudolf Grimm, Agilent's director of science and technology and manager of collaborations in the Asia-Pacific region, said: "This research initiative enables scientists to optimise glycan analytical workflows on the Agilent HPLC-Chip/MS system. We look forward to working with these leading organisations to drive discovery in this important field."

Earlier this month, the company launched a new series of verified dissolution components for use in the analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients, including moulded vessels and paddle and basket shafts.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801590479-ADNFCR
