Open Road hired for UK Council for Psychotherapy brief
Open Road has been hired by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) to help the organisation position itself better with regard to communications and strategy.
UKCP is adjusting to a much-altered healthcare landscape in the UK following the introduction of major NHS reforms in April 2013, reports Campaign.
As such, it has handed Open Road a brief to provide public affairs, media relations, social and digital comms support as part of a three-month project to analyse how the reforms have impacted mental health policy.
It is hoped that this will allow UKCP to take advantage of new opportunities to improve the provision of and access to a broad range of psychotherapies for patients across England.
Tim Swain, public affairs manager at UKCP, said: "We are investing more in our external affairs work and the project being undertaken by Open Road will play an important part in informing our thinking."
Open Road was founded in 2007 and is a leading independent communications consultancy, serving clients such as AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi and the Women's Sport and Fitness Foundation.
