Fishawack to acquire Archimed Medical Communication

Fishawack has announced the acquisition of Archimed Medical Communication, a move that marks the first step in its next phase of corporate growth.

Archimed is based in Zofingen, Switzerland and will complement the company's existing Phocus operations in Basel, while also delivering various synergies across the group.

The companies have similar philosophies in terms of quality, flexibility and client satisfaction, with the takeover allowing Fishawack to expand its capabilities in terms of specialist pharmacovigilance support and clinical and regulatory writing.

Oliver Dennis, Fishawack's chief executive officer, said: "We now have a global team of over 150 staff and the largest medical communications capability in Switzerland of any agency organisation."

This comes after Fishawack was able to secure new funding through an agreement with Growth Capital Partners in April 2013.

In addition, the firm launched a revamped corporate website earlier this year, thus underlining its commitment to expanding its digital healthcare marketing service capabilities.
