Bristol-Myers Squibb appoints new board member

20th June 2013

Bristol-Myers Squibb has announced the appointment of Dinesh Paliwal as the newest member of its board of directors, effective as of July 1st 2013.

Mr Paliwal – a veteran businessman with three decades of experience with major global companies – will serve on Bristol-Myers Squibb's committee on directors and corporate governance following his appointment.

He is the current chairman, president and chief executive officer of Harman International Industries, a position he has occupied since 2008, while his former employers also include ABB Group.

The new board member has been recruited based on his proven track record of driving entrepreneurship and cutting-edge innovation.

Lamberto Andreotti, chief executive officer of Bristol-Myers Squibb, said: "I am confident his insights gained from more than 30 years of broad international experience will be of great value to our company."

This comes after the firm announced the appointment of Dr Francis Cuss as its new chief scientific officer in April 2013.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801601593-ADNFCR
