Ivoclar Vivadent wins AACD award for IPS e.max

5th July 2013

Ivoclar Vivadent's IPS e.max restorative system has won an American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) Celebration of Excellence Award for outstanding innovation in cosmetic dentistry.

The lithium disilicate product line – which is the leading all-ceramic material in the dental sector – was recognised for its impact in the field of cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

More than 40 million restorations have been placed worldwide to date using the material, which is supported by more than ten years of clinical research and evidence to demonstrate its durability and 98.2 percent crown survival rate.

It is optimised for translucency, durability and strong fully anatomical restorations, while its opalescence and light diffusion properties successfully replicate natural tooth structures.

Robert Ganley, chief executive officer of Ivoclar Vivadent, said: "We all know that IPS e.max is a game changer, but sharing centre stage with the academy and its members during the annual session validates the impact of our innovation."

This comes after the firm won an iF Packaging Design Award for one of its key product ranges earlier this year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801608838-ADNFCR
