Agilent introduces new features for 7696A Workbench

9th July 2013

Agilent Technologies has announced the introduction of new features for its 7696A Sample Prep Workbench.

The enhancements to the chromatography sample-preparation system will maximise its automation capabilities to prevent errors associated with manual handling procedures, while also addressing key causes of productivity bottlenecks.

New features include high-precision weighing capabilities via WeighStation technology, plus new liquid chromatography vial racks that enable direct placement of vials on to the auto-sampler and a Dilution Wizard that helps to streamline various processes.

These new additions will ensure lab technicians are able to dedicate their attentions to other, more important tasks.

Eric Phillips, Agilent's product marketing manager for gas chromatography, said: "Together, these enhancements provide consistent precision and accuracy, enabling laboratories to reduce costs associated with sample preparation and eliminate mundane steps that hinder productivity."

Last month, the company introduced a number of new HaloPlex next-generation sequencing panels, for use in researching cancer and other inherited diseases.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801610145-ADNFCR
