MHP Health Mandate earns specialist consultancy of the year prize

MHP Health Mandate has been named as Communique's specialist consultancy of the year, recognising its ability to present a compelling vision that can help clients to evolve their policies.

The health policy and comms consultancy arm of MHP Communications claimed this accolade at the 2013 Communique Awards in London last week, while it was also highly commended in the excellence in healthcare collaboration and partnerships category.

MHP Health Mandate's client roster includes multinational corporations, leading hospitals, professional bodies and healthcare charities, with the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry and the Health Service Journal both endorsing the agency.

This comes after the firm won a clutch of awards at last year's Communique Awards, including the coveted communications consultancy of the year award.

Judges said: "They employ really smart people and their investment in training is incredible – no wonder even their most inexperienced team member speaks with total authority."

Earlier this month, it was announced that MHP Health Mandate heads Mike Birtwistle and Sarah Winstone will be leaving the company next month, with Rupert Gowrley and Rachel Rowson succeeding them on an interim basis.
