Ivoclar Vivadent’s Tetric EvoCeram receives new recommendation

10th July 2013

Ivoclar Vivadent has received a recommendation for its composite resin Tetric EvoCeram from the US-based dental test institute The Dental Advisor.

Following a clinical evaluation period of five years, the organisation awarded the product a top rating of five out of five, as well as selecting it for the top long-term performer composite of 2013 award.

A total of 800 restorations were placed in the study, with Tetric EvoCeram obtaining a clinical rating of 97 percent after five years, while proving extremely resistant to fractures and chipping.

Additionally, the aesthetics of the restorations were shown to be excellent at recall, with only 1.8 percent showing signs of light wear at the end of the study period.

"Tetric EvoCeram is a composite with excellent handling characteristics. It is packable, not sticky, contours well and is easy to finish and polish with excellent results," said the institute.

Earlier this month, Ivoclar Vivadent won an American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Celebration of Excellence Award for outstanding innovation in cosmetic dentistry for its IPS e.max lithium disilicate product line.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801610764-ADNFCR
