Idexx Laboratories appoints new board member
Idexx Laboratories has announced the appointment of Dr Sophie Vandebroek as a class II member of its board of directors.
Since 2002, Dr Vandebroek has been an executive with Xerox, the business process and document management company, most recently serving as its chief technology officer and corporate vice-president.
She is responsible for overseeing Xerox's various research centres in Europe, Asia, Canada and the US, while she has also served as a member of the board of medical imaging and airport security systems manufacturer Analogic in the past.
Idexx has appointed her as a new board member as it enters the latest phase of its ongoing growth strategy.
Jonathan Ayers, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Idexx, praised Ms Vandebroek's "outstanding depth of knowledge and experience in technology and business processes, as well as [her] track record of innovation and managing balanced research and development portfolios for large global enterprises".
The company is currently searching for a new chief financial officer, following the retirement of Merilee Raines in May 2013.
