Kaper wins consumer and corporate brief with Freesat

22nd July 2013

Kaper has been handed a major brief from TV operator Freesat that will include responsibilities for a range of consumer and corporate work.

According to a source close to the deal – which has been confirmed by BBC and ITV-backed Freesat – the work being carried out by Kaper is likely to reflect Freesat's role as a "challenger brand", PRWeek reports.

This comes after Paul Gilshan was recently appointed as director of commercial marketing and research for ITV, with his main tasks including overseeing communications, sales and marketing.

Last autumn, Freesat – which has surpassed three million sales of receiver equipment since its launch in 2008 – rolled out a multi-million pound marketing campaign to drive interest in its internet-connected TV service.

Kaper has been handed the brief in recognition of its experience in strategic planning, brand PR and publicity, while it also helps clients with product PR, crisis and issues management, content development and production and digital and social media strategy.

Other brands it has worked with include MasterCard, Time Out London, Bertolli and Somersby.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801615093-ADNFCR
