Biotronik launches new Galeo Pro guide wire range

Biotronik has announced the launch of a next-generation guide wire offering that provides increased durability and excellent shape retention.

The Galeo Pro wires feature a high-tensile stainless steel core to allow physicians to treat multiple lesions with a single wire, thus improving safety and cutting down procedure time.

It will be available in a variety of tip flexibilities, shapes, lengths and supports, ensuring it will be suitable for both simple and complex procedures.

The manufacturer is known as a major provider of guide wires for both coronary and peripheral interventions and offers one of the most comprehensive ranges on the market.

Dr Alexander Uhl, Biotronik's vice-president of marketing for vascular intervention, said: "With Galeo Pro, we demonstrate once again our commitment to delivering a complete range of innovative high-quality solutions for the interventional cardiologist."

This comes after the firm launched its new Ilesto 7 series of implantable cardioverter defibrillators/cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices in Europe last month.
