Eurocom Healthcare upgrades Breakthrough Cancer Pain website

Eurocom Healthcare Communications has announced the launch of an updated version of its breakthrough cancer pain education website.

Developed on behalf of a group of pharmaceutical company sponsors and an editorial board of leading professionals in the area of palliative care, the site offers clinical updates for medical workers and advice for patients and their carers.

It is funded by the drug companies Archimedes Pharma, Teva, Meda and ProStrakan, with the page's content overseen by the independent editorial board.

Professionals involved with the development of the site include Dr Andrew Davies of the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Josep Porta Sales of the Catalonian Institute of Oncology and Dr John Zeppetella of the St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood.

Tony Chant, managing director at Eurocom, said: "We actually developed the first website back in 2009 and so this is an upgrade of the original site with a fresher look and greatly increased content especially for patients."
