Virbac provides donations to charity group TOLFA

31st July 2013

Virbac Animal Health has donated various supplies to Tree of Life for Animals (TOLFA), an India-based charity founded by British vet nurse Rachel Wright.

The company provided 50 slip leads and ten bottles of Microbex – its shampoo for the treatment of the fungal infection Malassezia – for use by the humanitarian organisation, which is dedicated to caring for animals in rural Rajasthan.

TOLFA represents an essential source of free veterinary care for local farmers and the hundreds of sick and injured strays in the region, with volunteer workers endeavouring to build relationships with the animals to allow them to better cater for their individual needs.

Vet nurse Paulette Hamilton, who volunteers for TOLFA, said: "Our volunteers are allocated around eight dogs to walk every morning around the TOLFA compound before treatment and surgery start, so the slip leads are invaluable … The shampoos are also very helpful."

Virbac announced last month that it will soon be sponsoring PupAid, an annual anti-puppy farming event that will be taking place in London this September.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801619283-ADNFCR
