Biolitec launches Leonardo diode laser

Biolitec has announced the launch of a new diode laser called Leonardo, which has been optimised to provide strong clinical results in a wide range of therapeutic applications.

Billed as the most versatile and universal medical laser available on the market today, the device features user-friendly touch-screen controls and a combination of preset and manual modes.

It offers a combination of different wavelengths with advanced fibres and can be used to create a number of different effects on tissues, including cuts, excision, vaporisation, haemostasis or coagulation of soft tissue.

Other benefits include its interdisciplinary applications, low-maintenance diodes, intelligent fibre connection and electronic signature.

The manufacturer said: "Biolitec is one of the most technologically advanced providers/developers of fibre optic products in the world. The Leonardo Laser has been designed to combine the special medical fibres and the application kits of Biolitec."

During the first half of the company's current 2012/13 business year, Biolitec revenues rose by 9.1 percent year on year.
