CareFusion expresses satisfaction with fiscal 2013 results
CareFusion has published its financial report for the 2013 fiscal year, during which it achieved a $3.55 billion (2.29 billion pounds) revenue total.
This was one percent lower than the previous year but fell in line with the company's expectations as it pursues a three-year strategic plan focused on simplification and investment initiatives.
Operating income rose by eight percent during the year, while research and development investments increased and overhead costs were reduced for a second consecutive year.
CareFusion's procedural solutions divisions posted strong results across the year, while its medical systems segment was impacted by challenging business conditions, but is now showing "excellent momentum".
Kieran Gallahue, chairman and chief executive officer at CareFusion, said: "The momentum our teams have created in both segments puts us in a strong position for fiscal 2014, particularly as we ramp capital installations in the back half of the year."
Earlier this month, it was announced that the company has been granted a positive rating for its Alaris System infusion pumps in a new study from KLAS Research.
