Tonic Life ranked as UK’s top health PR agency

Tonic Life Communications has emerged as the top healthcare PR consultancy in the UK in a new report compiled by PRWeek.

The publication's annual ranking of the 25 leading healthcare agencies listed Tonic Life in first place after it generated 11.5 million pounds in health fee income during 2012, up by one percent year on year.

A subsidiary of Huntsworth Health, the company led a top ten that also included Chandler Chicco Companies, Edelman, Red Door Communications, Pegasus PR, Axon Communications, WCG, MHP Communications, Just Health Communications and College Hill.

PRWeek's research also revealed that the health PR sector experienced an overall 15 percent rise in income during 2012, hitting the 75 million pound mark, while an increased focus on digital strategies was also observed.

Tonic Life's managing director Oliver Parsons said: "Pitching has always been competitive, but the numbers are higher, so you need to be taking them seriously and doing in-depth research into the clients' business."
