3M’s True Definition Scanner now supports TS150 milling system

19th August 2013

3M has announced that IOS Technologies' TS150 In-Office Milling Solution has attained Trusted Connection compatibility with its 3M True Definition Scanner.

The combination of the two units provides users with a simple, convenient and affordable solution for same-day dentistry, allowing users to quickly capture a digital impression with the 3M device before sending it to the TS150 device for the design of the dental restoration.

Its FastDesign CAD station and extensive dental anatomy library from Glidewell Laboratories allow for the creation of a highly accurate crown proposal and guides the user through the rest of the process, before the design is sent to the TS150 mill for production.

3M has worked closely with IOS Technologies to test and validate the seamless integration of the two systems.

David Frazee, vice-president and general manager of 3M Digital Oral Care, said: "In the midst of this fast-paced digitisation of dentistry, 3M expects to be the leader in rapidly delivering new and affordable connections for dentists and labs alike."

This comes after the company made the True Definition Scanner available for use in orthodontic practice for the first time earlier this year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801626863-ADNFCR
