Boehringer Ingelheim to present data at ASR 2013

2nd September 2013

Boehringer Ingelheim will be presenting data on a number of its most important new therapies at the forthcoming annual congress of the European Respiratory Society (ESR).

The company will attend the event in Barcelona from September 7th to 11th 2013 and share findings from Tiospir, one of the largest global chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) trials ever conducted.

Results from this study will demonstrate the relative safety and efficacy of the two marketed formulations of the COPD drug Spiriva among more than 17,000 COPD patients from 50 countries.

In addition, the company will present data from the olodaterol Respimat monotherapy phase III clinical trial programme, which involved more than 3,000 patients with moderate to very severe COPD.

It will also share results from the MezzoTinA-asthma trials and the LUX-Lung 6 Phase III study, which demonstrate the superiority of afatinib over standard chemotherapy in lung cancer patients with EGFR mutations.

This announcement comes in the same week that Boehringer Ingelheim is presenting new trial data on the anticoagulant Pradaxa at the European Society of Cardiology (2013) Congress in Amsterdam.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801632148-ADNFCR
