Dechra reports positive performance in 2012/13
Dechra Pharmaceuticals has announced its financial report for the fiscal year ending on June 30th 2013, a period marked by significant growth for the company.
The firm's revenue for the 12 months came to 522.4 million pounds, up from 440 million pounds the previous year, while total underlying profit before tax rose from 32.9 million pounds to 44.6 million pounds during the same timeframe.
Growth was attributed to the positive impact of the acquisition of Eurovet in May 2012, as well as the 87.5 million divestiture of its services businesses, which has helped to refine the company's strategic focus.
Moving forward, Dechra's operations will be concentrated on activities in its European and US pharmaceutical sales and marketing segments, as well as its product development division.
The firm also relocated its corporate headquarters from Stoke to a new base near Northwich earlier this year.
Chief executive Ian Page said: "Dechra is now entirely focused on developing, manufacturing and marketing high-margin, cash-generative specialist veterinary pharmaceuticals and related products for global markets."
