Waggener Edstrom wins Infosecurity Europe PR brief

Waggener Edstrom has won a new brief with Reed Exhibitions to lead comms activity for next year's Infosecurity Europe exhibition.

The event is one of Europe's biggest information security conferences and has been represented for the last 17 years by Eskenzi PR and Marketing, which has declined to repitch for the brief, reports PRWeek.

Following its win, Waggener Edstrom will be tasked with promoting the London-based event – which takes place in April and May 2014 – across the IT security community and appealing to broader audiences across Europe.

Cairbre Sugrue, general manager for Waggener Edstrom London, will report to Infosecurity group marketing manager Joy-Fleur Brettschneider on the brief.

"There's a need to have a balanced discussion around IT security and how we protect consumers while having sufficient security and enabling businesses to function effectively," he said.

Waggener Edstrom works with some of the biggest technology brands in the world, including Microsoft, Xerox and Skype.
