Beiersdorf appoints new corporate communications head
Beiersdorf has appointed Inken Hollmann-Peters as its new head of corporate communications, succeeding the outgoing Sven Jacobsen.
Ms Hollman-Peters will take up her new role on October 1st 2013, coinciding with a reorganisation of Beiersdorf's global communications activities with the merger of its corporate communications and corporate sustainability departments.
The restructured unit will control the company's press and media relations, financial communications, brand PR, internal communications, issues management, sustainability management and social responsibility functions.
Ms Hollman-Peters has been with Beiersdorf since 1998 and has held a number of managerial positions with the company, including joint leadership of Nivea marketing activities between 2000 and 2010.
Meanwhile, Mr Jacobsen will be leaving the company amicably at his own request on September 30th to pursue a new professional challenge.
This comes after the firm published its financial report for the first half of 2013, during which it experienced a 6.6 percent organic sales increase year over year.
