Thermo Fisher Scientific introduces new bioprocessing solutions

Thermo Fisher Scientific has demonstrated a number of new solutions for biopharmaceutical drug discovery and production at this year's BioProcess International Conference and Exhibition.

The company is attending the event in Boston this week to showcase various new innovations in cell culture and bioprocessing aimed at facilitating biomanufacturing productivity, performance and efficiency.

Among them are the new HyCell TransFx cell culture media platform, HyPerforma Single-Use Bioreactor BioProcess Container, HyPerforma Single-Use Bioreactor and Prima BT Benchtop Mass Spectrometer, all of which will be demonstrated for attendees.

The firm will also present conference sessions on current and emerging applications for single-use technologies.

Brandon Pence, global marketing director for cell culture and bioprocessing at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "Our new innovations introduced today further position us to offer pharma and biopharma companies a total solution that spans research through large-scale manufacturing."

This comes after the company showcased a number of food testing tools and services at the AOAC annual meeting last month.
