Integrated DNA Technologies to give presentation at MipTec 2013
Integrated DNA Technologies has announced plans for a special presentation on the topic of synthetic biology during the forthcoming MipTec 2013 industry conference.
The company will be attending the Natural Products and Synthetic Biology Symposium during MipTec – which runs from September 24th to 26th in Switzerland – to give a talk on rapid and reliable gene construction with gBlocks gene fragments and the Gibson Assembly Method.
Dr Michel Cannieux, director of product commercialisation and synthetic biology product manager at the firm, will be responsible for giving the presentation, which will detail cloning protocols, applications and troubleshooting recommendations.
The gBlocks products offer the ability to facilitate easy and rapid construction of novel DNA sequences using the Gibson Assembly Method, circumventing many of the difficulties traditionally associated with this process.
According to the manufacturer, their "high-sequence fidelity and rapid delivery times make them ideal for a range of biological applications".
This announcement comes after Integrated DNA Technologies expanded its international production capabilities last month with the opening of a new facility in Singapore.
