Merck Serono supports launch of Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre website

8th October 2013

Merck Serono has provided funding to publisher Elsevier to assist with the recent launch of the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre website.

Developed by Elsevier, the site is a medical education platform that will provide high-quality, balanced and scientifically valid information to healthcare providers, including access to taped lectures, video interviews with sector leaders, a congress planner and key articles on breakthrough findings.

Merck Serono provided a $250,000 (155,500 pounds) unrestricted grant to Elsevier to assist with the creation and launch of the website, which was officially launched at the European Committee for Research and Treatment in Multiple Sclerosis annual congress earlier this month.

Dr Thorsten Eickenhorst, senior vice-president and chief medical officer at Merck Serono, said: "We are committed to supporting organisations that invest in the understanding and treatment of multiple sclerosis and share our goal of improving patient care."

Last month, the company announced an expansion of its partnership with Ablynx to include new research into the potential of nanobodies in several key therapeutic fields, including oncology, immuno-oncology, immunology and neurology.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801646815-ADNFCR
