Agilent and MRM Proteomics launch PeptiQuant MRM Assay Kits
Agilent Technologies has allied with MRM Proteomics to launch new kits for quality control applications in quantitative plasma proteomic analyses based on multiple-reaction monitoring (MRM).
The PeptiQuant MRM Assay Kits are the first commercial kits for quality control of MRM-based quantitative plasma proteomic workflows and are designed for use on Agilent's latest-generation standard-flow UHPLC-QQQ MS/MS platform.
They have been designed to assist in the inter and intra-laboratory quality control of MRM experiments in conjunction with stable isotope-labeled standards, with a LC-MS Platform Performance Kit and a Workflow Performance Kit to be made available.
With these products, the manufacturers aim to ensure high-quality protein quantification data can be produced by labs around the world.
Steven Fischer, director of omics applications for Agilent, said: "Application of triple quadrupole mass spectrometry to protein quantitation is growing rapidly and the adoption of this technique will be dependent on robust protocols that can be used in multiple laboratories."
Last month, Agilent revealed that it will soon be separating into two standalone businesses, one focusing on life sciences, diagnostics and applied markets, and the other on electronic measurement.
