Medtronic launches simplified report feature for iPro2 glucose monitor

Medtronic has introduced a new simplified reporting system, Pattern Snapshot, for the iPro2 Professional Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) system.

Pattern Snapshot is a one-page report providing healthcare professionals with information for quick interpretation of detailed glucose data over time, with patterns identified using advanced algorithms that automatically identify major glucose control issues and their possible causes.

The report information and visuals also serve as a teaching tool to help educate people with diabetes about their own glucose profile.

This new functionality further improves the utility of the iPro2 Professional CGM device, which can record a patient's glucose levels 24 hours a day for up to three days and provide user-friendly reports to the physician.

Laura Stoltenberg, general manager of Medtronic's non-intensive diabetes therapies business, said: "Healthcare professionals will now have a simplified report that will allow for faster interpretation of the most important diabetes metrics, so they can quickly uncover their patients' most important issues."
