Source BioScience agrees licensing deals with Max Planck Institute
Source BioScience has announced a pair of new licensing deals with the Max Planck Institute in Germany.
The company has been granted an exclusive worldwide licence by the prestigious institute to commercialise the C. elegans and Drosophila melanogaster TransgeneOme collections, both of which were developed by Dr Mihail Sarov.
These libraries offer a wide range of unique applications to complement a scope of protein function research, and are available via GenomeCUBE, the interactive proprietary database, search engine and e-commerce tool.
With the C. elegans TransgeneOme collection, users can visualise protein localisation and expression levels using live fluorescence microscopy or other methods, use affinity tags for protein-protein interaction analysis, and easily map protein binding sites on DNA.
Meanwhile, the Drosophila TransgeneOme collection offers scope for expression of tagged proteins under native control, systematic investigation of expression patterns and protein localisation at all developmental stages, simplified identification of interaction partners and assessment of the translational protein expression control.
This comes after the firm recently expanded its Just Between Us sexual health service with the launch of five home sampling tests and an online prescription service earlier this month.
