Norbrook swings into action to help endangered apes

10th May 2018

Norbrook has donated much needed medication to the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation in a bid to help the species.

To thank them for their support in the project, the foundation has created a 2 minute film showing the medication being administered on a recused orangutan. The film also shows the suffering of other rainforest animals as a result of deforestation, forest fires and animal trafficking in Kalimantan, in the hope to receive more donations to go towards the project.

Dr Ramos from the foundation commented, “Sound medical therapy becomes paramount in the animals’ journey towards rehabilitation, and this contribution of key veterinary supplies helped make this possible. Norbook has helped look after many orang-utans and sun bears, so the contributions were much appreciated.”
The documentary is expected to be finished in three months and will be available to watch on social media.
