Hamilton Specialist Referrals (HSR) opens in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

A new tier three, RCVS-accredited hospital for specialist surgical and neurological referrals has opened in High Wycombe, at a cost of £3.3 million. Hamilton Specialist Referrals (HSR) is the first dedicated pet hospital in the area and is equipped with three consulting rooms and operating theatres, an imaging suite, an arthroscopy system, a hydrotherapy and physiotherapy suite and 25 staff. It can undertake joint replacements, spinal decompression and 3D planning for the treatment of complex limb deformities.
Mr and Mrs Hamilton have spent 4 years on the project and have put in measures to ensure the wellbeing and welfare of their staff, and to deliver team training, staff development and employee benefits. Mr Hamilton said: “We will stand out from the competition because of our significantly different approach to people and their welfare. We want our whole team to feel fully involved in the business, recognised and rewarded. This is why we have ring-fenced an amount of shares for the team, and have invested heavily in dedicated training, staff development, support and the physical make-up of the hospital.”
